It was a wonderful meeting of networking and people dedicated to our rivers, celebrating themes ranging from urban waters, green infrastructure, partnerships and collaboration, environmental justice and much more!

_TrashTalkFeatured speaker Venice Miller-Travis talks about environmental justice. She shares her stories about growing up along the Hudson River and her community restoration, revitalization and sustainable redevelopment efforts. Venice Miller-Travis is a senior associate with the environmental consulting group Miller-Travis & Associates and Skeo Solutions.

_MarlaRiverRallyRiver Rally was full of friendly folks with plenty of networking opportunities. Pictured here is Marla from KRCC with Jeff from River Relief and river guide extraordinaire, before a field excursion along the Missouri River and to the confluence with the Mississippi River. It was 80 degrees, sunny with a cool wind; a great day to be on the water! Featured guest Chad Pregracke, founder of Living Lands & Waters, leads a tour of three boats and 25-30 River Rally attendees down the river. Where was the trash? Gone!

_AmericanRiversGary Bolan from American Rivers talking about creating a green infrastructure program. Other great talks included presentations by Groundwork USA, a non-political approach to community revitalization, including their work in community engagement in New Orleans and cleaning up the polluted Anacostia River near Washington DC. Mike Bolander, Anacostia Riverkeeper, gave an excellent presentation on Urban Subsistence Angling & Environmental Justice.

_Brids_of_PreyIt’s Birds of Prey, the live bird show! Flip, a red shouldered hawk, depends on river habitat.

_RiverRamblersRiver Rally’s got talent (or does it?) The Rouge River Ramblers at the jammin’ at talent show. I think River Rally does have talent! Rally Ho!
